GPU Mining Fundamentals

A practical, instructor-led intensive for people assembling their first or second mining frame — focused on stable hashrate, honest power budgets, and cooling that holds through long sessions.

Who it is for

Builders who already understand basic PC assembly but want mining-specific habits: riser quality checks, shared PSU planning, open-air shelf spacing, and reading miner logs without chasing every forum tweak.

Operators moving from a single gaming card to a dedicated frame also fit well. Absolute beginners to computer hardware should complete a short prep call so we can adjust bench pacing.

What you walk away with

By the close of day two you will have powered a supervised multi-GPU stack, recorded watt and temperature baselines, and produced a personal parts map for a home build in a stated budget band.

Included materials: printed power worksheet, cooling measurement sheet, OS image notes used in the lab, and a two-week email window for follow-up questions.

Scope and exclusions

Included: instructor time, shared lab frames and instruments, curriculum modules 1–6 from our curriculum page, and safety briefing for electrical and thermal hazards.

Excluded: purchase of GPUs or PSUs, shipping of parts to your home, pool account setup beyond demonstration, and legal or tax advice about mining income in Korea.

How the two days run

Day one opens with component matching on paper, then physical frame layout, cabling discipline, and first power-on with a single card. Afternoon covers miner configuration and baseline hashrate capture.

Day two scales to a multi-card shelf, fan placement experiments, thermal pad inspection, and a controlled undervolt exercise. We close with a home start-up checklist you fill in before leaving the lab.

Location, duration, preparation

Sessions run at our Gwangju address over two consecutive days, roughly 09:30–16:30 with a mid-day break. Bring closed-toe shoes, a notebook, and any GPUs you specifically want reviewed (optional — lab cards are available for exercises).

Please share your target budget and room photos ahead of time so we can prepare matching examples that resemble your space.

Pricing basis

Seats are priced per person for the full two-day block. See current figures on our Rates page. A deposit holds your place; the balance is due before day one. Rates are informational — no online checkout.
